Decorative Molding - What can I do with the molding?

While you can just use the crown molding to make a border around the ceiling of the overall room, use the baseboard molding to outline the bottom of the room. That alone will give the space some definition and make it something far more than just a box of undefined space. You can also use the trim to decorate walls by creating shapes on the wall itself.

You can do that with any spot that you wish to highlight or you can put the trim around any of the windows in your space to have them look almost as if they are a framed picture to the outside. That same decorative principle can also be used for the ceiling - you can highlight the spots you like with the way that you make shapes out of the trim. Do not be confined to rectangular or square shapes only - it is your design and your space, so play with it!
